EB-1A Green Card

A subgroup of the first-preference employment-based visa category, the EB-1A Green Card is designed to bring individuals with extraordinary ability in art, education, science, or athletics to the United States. The broad spectrum of fields that make up the EB-1A category allows individuals from a variety of backgrounds to apply, but meeting the strict standards for qualification is undeniably difficult.

EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW)

Normally, the EB-2 Green Card requires that an employer acts as a sponsor, offering the applicant a permanent role with the company and testing the labor market through the PERM process. The National Interest Waiver, however, allows workers to bypass the need for labor certification, proving that their work will benefit the United States economy, education system, healthcare, or some other aspect of society.

Alcorn Immigration Law can assist you on the pathway to permanent status, including but not limited to EB-1AEB-1BEB-1CEB-2 NIWEB-2, EB-3, I-140, I-485 adjustment of status and portability, I-765 work permits, and I-131 advance parole travel documents. Fortunately, there is a range of opportunities available for current and prospective employees of American companies to secure permanent residence in the United States.

O-1A Extraordinary Ability

The O-1A Extraordinary Ability visa and O-1B visa for artists, including UX/UI designers. Do you have “extraordinary ability” in the sciences, education, business, or athletics? If so, you might qualify for an O-1A visa to temporarily visit the U.S. to work in your field. Individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts, motion pictures, or television industry may qualify for an O-1B visa.

We commonly work alongside founders, hiring managers, and recruiters who are responsible for hiring the world’s best and brightest talent. Oftentimes, they identify an individual with extraordinary ability who would undeniably benefit their company’s growth but run into challenges when they try to secure the right legal immigration status to begin work. As knowledgeable and experienced O-1A visa attorneys, we work alongside HR professionals, People Ops, human resources, and company executives to secure the O-1A nonimmigrant visa for key employees who possess extraordinary abilities in their field.

H1-B Speciality Occupations

H-1B visasincluding H-1B lottery, extensions, amendments, portability, and transfers. Used by employers to hire professionals in specialty occupations, securing an H-1B visa can be unpredictable and daunting. H-1B visa hopefuls may submit their applications to the lottery – a system used to randomly select the individuals who can proceed to file an H-1B visa petition. While hundreds of thousands of individuals register for the H-1B lottery, roughly 20% are selected to proceed through the application process. We help our clients register for the lottery, extend their visas, amend their visas to account for significant changes to the terms and conditions of employment, and transfer their H-1B visas to a new employer.
